BAUCEANT IN BERNE
GRAND PRIOR EMERITUS OF THE U.S.A.
SENECHAL D’HONNEUR du Grand Prieuré de FRANCE
Knight Grand’Cross Vincent Georges ZUBRAS Jr
4 juillet 1949 – 10 mai 2021
TEMPLARS OF THE WORLD,
It is with great emotion and regret that I write this document in memory of our Brother and Friend the Knight Vincent Georges ZUBRAS Jr. Indeed, this May 10th, 2021, AN 903 of the Order, our Brother Vincent us left. Our Brother Vincent has a historical Templar journey, he is one of the pillars of our contemporary era. His imprint is indelible in the history of the O.S.M.T.H.
Vincent was already present to Paris in 1995 with our former Grand Master Dom Fernando de SOUSA FONTES, of whom he will remain the faithful representative until his death in 2018.
Vincent was present in Paris to 2005, for the “First International Meeting” since 1995 and since that date will be a faithful and loyal friend, carrying the words of the OSMTH throughout the UNITED STATES and LATIN AMERICA.
We have gone through many difficulties together, but our fervor, faith in the Order and in God have meant that the road traveled is immense. I will not prolong this tribute any further, there are no longer enough strong words to express our sorrow, but also the gratitude due to our Brother and Friend Vincent. The many shares in the World, as many in Chapters, Investitures and other moments of friendship will remain in our memories to remember our Brother, his beaming smile, and keep in us the strength that he transmitted to us throughout his life.
Vincent was also in Paris for the “Commemorations of the 900 YEARS” of the Order in 2018. On this occasion, we saw him recognize his Successor today. It will remain an image to his glory. He fought valiantly, but a terrible enemy got the better of him and his courage, disease.
Another image will remain anchored in our memories : the command of the Grand Priors of the World at each International Investiture in the sung interpretation of “Non Nobis”. We will really miss it. In each great Manifestation, we will have a moment of emotion by taking up our Song in his memory.
There is no doubt that his road will not stop there, and that somewhere he will be waiting for us to celebrate together the glory of the Lord and of our Order.
Good luck my Brother and Friend VINCENT, we are continuing the mission … You have shown us the way !
Non Nobis Domine Non nobis Sed Nomini Tuo Da Gloriam
